The Monte Verità Foundation and Insubrica Historica present a project tracing the journey of Jews, partisans and fugitives between the years 1943 and 1945. At that time, leaving Italy ravaged by war and racial laws, many people found refuge in neighbouring Switzerland. The tradition of humanitarian acceptand and brotherhood that characterised relations between the peoples of the two neighbouring countries allowed most of the people who arrived to be hosted in the Swiss Confederation, saving their lives.
